The Ondo State Governor, Mr. Oluwarotimi Akeredolu ,SAN has approved the constitution of the Ondo State Independent Electoral Commission (ODIEC).
According to a release by the chief press secretary to the governor, Segun Ajiboye on Tuesday, a Professor of Law at the Adekunle Ajasin University ,Akungba Akoko(AAUA), Prof. Yomi Dinakin will be the ODIEC chairman.
Others, according to the statement are; Dr Soji Omowole, Oladele Akinyelure (Esq), Tunde Adeyeye, Mrs Stella Omotosho, Taku Ibrahim (Esq) and Rotimi Olorunfemi
Ajiboye further added that the list containing the seven names would be sent to the State House of Assembly for confirmation.
It will be recalled that the state government in the 2018 budget as signed by the Governor on Tuesday had earmarked a sum of N 2 Billion for the conduct of local government election in the state.
