Earlier today (9th of February, 2018), Lagos City witnessed the awe of Sports as over 100,000 athletes, both indigenous and international, stormed the City for the Access Bank Marathon race.
32year Old Frenchman Abraham Kiprotich has successfully claimed the champion of the bronze label race after winning in the first edition, 2016 then in the second edition in 2017 and now in the third edition this year.
Kenya Abraham Kiprotich and Ethiopia Herpha Guta were the athlete to catch in the Lagos City Access Bank Marathon 42km race. While the former dominated the male category in 2hrs15mins , the later held off all female competitors in 2hrs38mins to storm to victory.
Hence,this has earned both athletes $50,000 prize money for their effort.
Also, Ilya Pam wins the indigenous race in 2hrs27mins.
Over 100 , 000 people participated in the IAAF Bronze Label Race which offers 208, 000 dollars for grabs.
