PREGNANT VICTIM OF KIDNAPPERS DIES: After Being Pushed Out of moving Car, but baby saved After..

It was a black and blood Monday in Badagry as residents between French Village and Ibereko were shocked to the marrow following the sad event of the last five hours.

A pregnant woman (unknown) who boarded a cab from Cotonou headed for Lagos but suddenly discovered that she has been kidnapped possibly for ritual reasons started screaming.
Her noise attracted commuters and passersby around French Village bus stop.

The cab was given a hot chase by sympathetic Nigerians. In the pandemonium, the kidnappers who had been beating the woman to silence her pushed her out of the cab around Ibereko Area.
She sustained serious head injuries.

She was rushed to nearby Ola Oki Hospital at Limca Bus stop opposite Jakos Filling Station. The doctors according to sources confirmed that the pregnancy was about 36 weeks old.

They battled to save her life but she couldn't make it. But the baby boy was luckier than his late mother. He was delivered whiskers away from death and weighs 3.8kg.

In the meantime, the Federal Roads Safety Corp (FRSC) personnel who saw the woman being pushed out of the cab from afar flagged down the cab.

The chasing commuters and passerby who took bikes (okada) forced the cab to a stop and a mob action followed immediately.

Eye witness account says, two men caught by the irate mob descended heavily on the kidnappers and set them ablaze.

But some solders from the 242 Recce Barrack in Ibereko rushed to rescue the kidnappers who had severe burns. The men are presently at the General Hospital, Badagry.

The identity of the woman is unknown and that is the reason behind publishing these photos for her to be probably identified by her relatives or friends.

The baby boy is at Ola Oki hospital while the remains of his late mother has been deposited in hospital's morgue.
