*1. Wike, Fayose, Sambo Others For Book Presentation On Jonathan*
According to the author, Mr Paul Nwankwo, the book presentation which will hold at the Cultural Centre in Yenagoa, will have former Vice President Sambo as a guest of honour, Governor Wike will chair the occasion, while his Ekiti State counterpart, Governor Fayose and Deputy Senate President, Ekweremadu, will be keynote speakers.
Other prominent Nigerians expected at the book presentation include the governor of Bayelsa State, Seriake Dickson, who will be chief host, National Chairman of PDP, Prince Uche Secondus will also serve as the guest of honour, while the book reviewer will be the Deputy Vice Chancellor of the Federal University, Otuoke, Prof.

2. *IMC endorses Gov Emmanuel for 2nd term*
South West region co-ordinator of the group, Mrs Dorcas Asukwo-Ikabor, at an award ceremony in Lagos, where Governor Emmanuel and others were honoured, said the governor has performed in terms of providing infrastructure and developing the state.
She said that the support for Emmanuel was to ensure that he consolidates on his achievements in the next four years.
He said: “It is known that an enlightened society is very easy to lead as people will easily key into government policies without prompting. IMC, South West, intends to undertake a tour of projects and development sites currently ongoing in the state.
“Our vision is to raise, assemble and nurture a generation of young and vibrant Akwa Ibomites of great minds towards building a viable and egalitarian society.
“We want to create and promote political consciousness within our people towards the development of an enviable democratic society, to push, mobilise and give support for good and purposeful leadership, geared towards the continuation of uncommon transformation and industralization policy of the state government.”

3. *NNPC casual staff accuse mgt of enslavement*
The workers also lamented their working environment in the refinery plants in the respective companies, stressing that despite working in toxic chemical plants, the management of NNPC does not give them allowances and nothing compensatory for people working in a highly toxic environment.
The staff, under the aegis of Operations’ Casual Staff of PHRC, WRPC and KRPC, made their position known in an open letter addressed to President Muhammadu Buhari.
UGHELLI—CASUAL staff of the Port Harcourt Refining Company, PHRC, Warri Refining and Petrochemical Company, WRPC and the Kaduna Refining and Petrochemical Company, KRPC, have accused the management of Nigeria National Petroleum Company, NNPC of “continuous enslavement” despite their contributions the country’s refineries.

4. *2019: I can win with APGA, says Okorocha*
Okorocha spoke at the Imo government house, chapel in Owerri, while he was addressing Imo youths, on the day of the APC state congress.
He also said that the Imo APC stakeholders led by Senator Ifeanyi Araraume, deceived his deputy governor, Eze Madumere as well as commissioners.
According to Okorocha, “In the days of APGA and how we were able to win victory and how we were able to get victory, despite the fact that all the political Juggernauts were not on our side.
It was made possible by you the youths of Imo state. “We struggled in APGA, there was no one with us just like it is today and we won them at that time there was an incumbent governor, by name Ohakim, with a presidential PDP, with all the Army but we resisted them and won them.” The governor bragged that, “From APGA, we felt that it was important that we join the National party, we didn’t have to leave APGA, if we were in APGA, we would have still won our election.
“By the time, we left APGA for APC, all these people were not with us but the youths are with us. I consulted some of you before I moved to APC. “They called us all sorts of names.
They gave me all kinds of names, making it difficult to win the election. With Goodluck supporting the deputy speaker, Emeka Ihedioha, to win the election. I was with God and I won the election.
“But in APC, these men came and deceived my deputy governor and former SGI and commissioners and took them away. They thought when the take them away they will end rescue mission. They did not know that there are super ones still in the rescue mission government.”
Imo state governor, Rochas Okorocha, said he can win election in the state, if still a member of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA.
5. *nPDP members ‘ll be assimilated seamlessly — Ologbondiyan*
Spokesman of the party, Kola Ologbondiyan, told Vanguard yesterday that the Contact and Integration Committee of the party was in constant touch with its ex-members, nPDP, noting that they would return to their “home” with ease.
According to him, the erstwhile members, should they make the decision to return to PDP, will be treated equally like others, adding that no right or privilege whatsoever would be denied them, provided they take the step on or before a month to the party’s convention.
According to him, “our Contact Committee, ably chaired by Liyel Imoke, is in talks with them (nPDP members) and I can assure you that we are already making a lot of progress.
“This is their home and, upon their return, they will enjoy equal opportunities with everyone, provided they make that move at least a month before our convention.” On the case by former Sports Minister, Professor Taoheed Adedoja, against the party, Ologbondiyan said the Seriake Dickson Committee will do the needful and the matter will be amicably resolved.
It also accused President Muhammadu Buhari of running a corrupt subsidy regime.
ABUJA—Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has assured former members of the party, who defected to All Progressives Congress, APC, that the process of rejoining it would be seamless.
